SAN DIEGO — In a significant operation, U.S. Border Patrol agents from the San Diego Sector successfully thwarted two drug smuggling attempts within a span of just 24 hours, resulting in the seizure of 139.1 pounds of narcotics valued at over $784,000.
The first incident unfolded on March 19, when agents detected suspicious activity near the border. Upon investigation, they discovered a vehicle loaded with illegal substances. The swift action by the agents prevented these drugs from reaching the streets.

Shortly after this initial success, another attempt was intercepted. This second bust further underscores the persistent challenges faced by law enforcement in combating drug trafficking across the U.S.-Mexico border.
Officials have emphasized that such operations are crucial in disrupting drug smuggling networks and protecting communities from the dangers associated with narcotics.
